^ Ziatype Weekend
Bob Kersey instructs in the art of Ziatype, a modern platinum/palladium process invented by Carl Weese and Richard Sullivan from whom Bob learnt and developed this straight forward approach.
Ziatype is an ideal introduction to platinum and palladium printing and is kept simple in this relaxed weekend with small numbers of students.
The initial part of the weekend is devoted to learning the requirements of a suitable Ziatype negative.
When printing, no darkroom or developer is required nor an enlarger or artificial light source. You can work in most normal workspaces, expose in a printing frame in sunlight. A glass rod and three trays complete the equipment list. That’s all there is to it.
The prints possess an individual beauty and remain stable for many years.
Provided: Sheet film, chemicals, paper and use of a 4x5 camera. Single accommodation at Black Mountain View plus all meals. Class numbers: minimum 2, maximum 4.
Connects to Large Format. The Landscape Workshop.
